Richard T. Lewis
Owner, Managing Director
Richard is a Partner in the TRANSEARCH Brussels office and leads the global Air Transportation, Travel & Tourism Practice. He brings more than eighteen years’ experience as adviser to senior management and supervisory Boards.
In 1999 Richard established Marlborough, a retained executive search firm dedicated to the aviation & aerospace sectors. Since then he has led close to 250 search assignments, securing strong interpersonal relationships within many of the world's leading airports, airlines, aerospace manufacturers, aviation service providers and industry associations. Placements typically include C-level executives as well as appointments at SVP, VP and Department Head level.
In 2009 Richard further developed the client portfolio to serve transportation, third-party logistics, leisure and tourism businesses.
Richard served two terms as Chairman of the British Association of Aviation Consultants and helped co-found the Brussels branch of The Royal Aeronautical Society. He has contributed numerous articles on contemporary leadership issues for a wide range of aviation publications, and addressed global audiences at International aviation conferences.
Richard holds an MBA from the OU Business School, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management and is a former business and finance graduate of the University of Glamorgan. He is currently working towards gaining an MSc qualification with the OU Business School.
Originally from Wales, Richard speaks Dutch as well as some French and resides with his wife and two sons in Belgium’s Flemish countryside. His hobbies include bee-keeping.
